Together, we’ll worship and pray—creating space to listen for God’s direction—while also engaging in collaborative learning that equips you to lead with clarity and confidence.
How will we make disciples? You and the leaders you serve with play a vital role in fulfilling the Great Commission. Through collaborative conversations and practical tools, this retreat will help you cultivate a culture of discipleship that extends beyond programs and into everyday life—inside and outside your congregation. You’ll explore contextualized approaches that align with your church’s mission and vision.
This retreat is more than training—it’s a shared journey of discernment, renewal, and preparation for what God is calling your church to become.

Jarrod Spalding is a vision-driven leader and coach with over 20 years of church leadership experience, including roles as pastor, youth minister, police chaplain, nonprofit leader, and mental health coach. As founder of Vision Partners, he has helped churches in 10 states move from survival to sustainability through workshops, coaching cohorts, and practical tools that equip leaders to create contextualized ministry plans faithful to their past and focused on the future. Drawing from his experience coaching both churches and entrepreneurs, Jarrod specializes in building sustainable, scalable models that serve mission and community. Married for 22 years, he and his wife are raising four children, ages 23 to 9, and enjoy life with their three-year-old grandson. Jarrod’s passion is helping churches grow in ways that honor their history while stepping courageously into God’s future.
Michael Castello
Worship Leader
Michael Castello has been the lead pastor for Greenwood Community Church of the Nazarene since July of 2023. Prior to that, he has served as a worship and youth pastor in Oregon, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. He began his ministry career in 2010 in Wisconsin. Pastor Michael is happily married to his amazing wife, Claudia. They have two children, Harper Grace (16) and Clara Joy (6). Pastor Michael has a passion for reaching the lost and making disciples who make disciples. When he is not doing church stuff, Pastor Michael loves to fish, play sports, play board/card games, play video games with teens, and cheer on his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and Chicago sports teams (not the Cubs though). Ultimately, Michael is a pastor, father, husband, and devoted follower of Christ.
